There’s an Inuit word, nuanaarpuq, which is translated to something along the lines of “to take extravagant pleasure in being alive.” How often, how easily, do you allow this pure, simple joy to flow through you? A lot of people — perhaps you — are aware of the ways they try to avoid feeling the heavier, more difficult emotions. But are they aware that the joy gets held back along with it?
In this group, we will ride the wave of fresh energy and movement of early spring, and allow unbridled joy and pleasure in simply being here, being alive, and feeling to shine through and take over.
Breathwork is an active meditation using a specific 2-part breathing pattern to connect to your body and vitality, open up space for stagnant old energy and emotions to flow freely, and expand your heart. Most (more like, all) of us are carrying around pain, fear, trauma, and outdated beliefs about ourselves and the world around us, which all live tucked away in our cells. Breathwork is a simple tool that supports us in finally shedding those heavy weights.
Please wear clothes that are comfortable for you to lie down in. Bring an eye pillow or cover if you like.
